Mechanical Engineering Section holds their Project Orientation Program

The Mechanical and Industrial Engineering Section of the Ibri College of Technology, Engineering Department held their Project Orientation Program on January 17, 2017, 11:30 am - 12:00 nn, at the Multi-Purpose Hall.

 Dr. Elangovan, Head of the ME Section (HOS), enthusiastically presented to the students registered in Diploma Project and Advanced Diploma Project on the guidelines and assessment being followed for project course work.  Great emphasis was stressed on coming up with good mechanical and industrial-related designs to fabricate and manufacture.  The Grading Criteria for Project Marks was explained thoroughly.  Criteria which are common to all members of the group were identified and criteria wherein each student must earn by their own hard-work, commitment, and participation were also briefed.

Before the end of the program, Dr. Thirumavalavan, Project Coordinator for the ME Section, also spoke about proper filling-up of the Log Report, more details on how each marks will be weighed and given, and the need for detailed engineering drawings of the project designs and that these must be drawn using AutoCAD.
