BSD conducts Entrepreneurship Development Program

The Entrepreneurship Committee of Business Studies Department organized a workshop on “How to Establish a Successful Small Business” for Diploma and Advance Diploma students of Business, Engineering and Information Technology departments on 9th November, 2016 in the Lecture theater. The trainer for the workshop was Mr. Ismail Saif Salem Al Shmali, Director of Oman chamber of commerce and industry, Ibri. The objective of the workshop was to build entrepreneurship capacity among students.


      The session started at 10.00 a.m. with a welcome note by by Dr. Sanjay Saha (Head of section, Human Resource). The lead trainer, Mr. Ismail Saif Salem Al Shmali started his workshop by disseminating required information on how to start small business in Oman, build necessary competencies, how seed capital could be generated, procedures and formalities needs to be complied with while forming a start-up in the Sultanate.

      The workshop was well received by students by actively interacting with the trainer. Attendance were close to 50 students. Mr. Manikandan Stahyamoorthy, the coordinator of Entrepreneurship committee presented a memento as a token of appreciation to the Mr.Ismail Al Ishmaili, the trainer. Mr. Sandeep Kale, anchored the whole event. The workshop culminated at 11.45 a.m
