ENGINEERING STUDENT’S   INDUSTRIAL VISIT AT ORPIC .

 

 

IbriCT Engineering Department students visited the Oman Oil Refineries and Petroleum Industries Company (ORPIC) in Sohar on November 14, 2016.  The students were accompanied by Dr. Raj Thirumavalavan, Mechanical Engineering Lecturer; and Mr. Ali Al-Alawi, IbriCT OJT Coordinator.

The purpose of the visit was to let these twenty-one (21) selected students to explore an industrial environment, witness some of what’s going on in the industrial sector, and appreciate whatever benefit the can derive from the experience.

A training team welcomed the delegation and gave a brief history of the facility.  They also explained the working units and production system.  The students visited the operational units and all functional stages, which were explained comprehensively by personnel of the Operations Department
