OJT ORIENTATION PROGRAM HELD ENGINEERING STUDENTS

The On-the-Job Training (OJT) Orientation Program for Engineering Students was conducted on January 24, 2017, 10:30 am, at the Multi-Purpose Hall in the Engineering Building.  The students from all the sections of the Engineering Department: Electrical Power, Electronics & Telecommunication, and Mechanical and Industrial Engineering attended the program.

The objective of the program was orienting the students who are currently undergoing training in various companies all over Oman to be aware of the rules and regulations that they are supposed to follow during the course of the training.

OJT is an important stage in the students’ education wherein students are expected to gain valuable life experiences and to enhance their confidence in preparation to enter the job market.

The OJT lasts for 8 weeks (2 months). During this time, the student is under the supervision of a Company Supervisor and supported by an assigned IbriCT College Assessor.  The students were informed and urged to be in contact with their allocated College Assessors.  The College Assessors will guide/help them if they have any issues or queries related to the subjects they have studied and the company where they are working in.

Upon the completion of the training, the students are to return to the college to do a presentation of their training experiences and accomplishments with their College Assessors. Only after completion of this presentation will the students initiate the graduation procedures.
