What are the emerging perspectives on the roles and responsibilities of teachers in the 21st century English language classroom?
Abstract
Nowadays, multiple roles of teachers involve the facilitation of active student learning, the creation of a productive classroom environment, the use of innovative technology and teaching methods, and the development of skills needed for the 21st-century workforce. This keynote address will discuss the multiple roles of teachers and the issues of teachers’ engagement with research.These are essential if we are to help students develop effective 21st-century skills and knowledge of technology and prepare them to be competent users of the English language and socially responsible citizens.
