Quality Education: A Key Factor to Effective Teaching and Learner Empowerment in the 21st Century
Abstract

Today, technological developments and easier access to education have raised expectations from schools and colleges. In the 21st Century, schools not only teach knowledge but they prepare students for the real world. Quality education focuses on the whole-person approach and the learners' well-being regarding social, emotional, mental, physical, and cognitive development. Meanwhile, effective teaching principles aim to affect the learners' lives and academic careers positively. This plenary aims to introduce effective teaching and its impact on learners' empowerment.

Khalil Motallebzadeh is an associate professor at Tabaran Institute of Higher Education, Iran. He is a researcher in teacher education, e-learning, and language assessment and the editor-in-chief of the International Journal of Language Testing. He is also an accredited international master trainer and trainer assessor since 2008.
