How A Global Pandemic Changed English Language Teachers' Career Paths
Abstract
The extraordinary changes brought on by a global pandemic demanded that English language teachers address emergency measures and pivot to new online teaching from familiar face-to-face settings. Her keynote address will highlight various tips and techniques that will help learn more about the recent career path journeys of three teachers who demonstrated remarkable resilience and persistent adaptability to emergency measures and experienced rough phases during their tenure.

Dr Liz England enjoys semi-retirement following 35+ years in full-time graduate language teacher education. She is currently fully engaged professionally and accepts short-term assignments and publishing projects (currently working on a book with Routledge), alongside her work with TESOL International Association leadership positions, currently as Founder, TESOL Career Path Development Professional Learning Network.
