Digital Presence in Research: A Fresh Look

The Staff Development Committee (SDC) of the Business Studies Department organized a seminar on "Digital Presence in Research" on Thursday, 27th October 2022 from 12.00 p.m to 1.30 p.m. The welcome address was given by Mr. Mohammed Al Sakiti. Then, the speaker, Dr.Stephen, Assistant professor, Muscat college, started the session by highlighting why digital presence is important for academics. He also illustrated various ways to be an active researcher by using digital platforms in a wider way, including Google Scholar, ORCID, LinkedIn, etc. At the end of the seminar, some faculty members raised their concerns to the presenter for further clarification. A total of 21 faculty members attended the seminar. The vote of thanks was given by Dr Abdulrahman Al Ismaili, HOD of Business studies department.
