The program session addressed by Mr.Jayasankar Srilla, Instructor, Department of Engineering, University of Technology and Applied Sciences-Ibri.

In his presentation, he started with the basic explanation on the MQTT protocol. He explained, due to the revolution of IoT applications in the recent days the MQTT protocol is playing much important role for transferring data from machine to machine. He elaborated main advantages of MQTT protocol such as fast throughput and response time and multiple message subscription. He explained how to connect publisher and subscriber using both laptop and mobile. He gave the basic idea on MQTT interfaced with ThingSpeak cloud and MATLAB etc. Finally he explained MQTT protocol application with a practical demonstration using of Node MCU ESP8266 microcontroller with LED control. The ESP8266 microcontroller is used as an IOT interface and he controlled the LED remotely, using mobile application and laptop through MQTT protocol broker. The presentation covers the application of MQTT protocol in large sensor network and its deployment.

The session was very interactive, faculty from various department were participated in the discussions. The staff members felt that the presentation was very much useful and effective. Totally 36 staffs were participated.
