The Staff Development Committee of Engineering Department organized a seminar program on "Artificial Intelligence Applications in Electrical Engineering" on 17th November 2022 Thursday from 1:30 PM – 2:30 PM in Engineering Multi-Purpose Hall (B102).

Mr. Veera Nagireddy Varampati, Lecturer, Electrical Engineering Section has delivered the presentation for the benefit of the staff members. The targeted audience for the program were the lecturer of Electrical and Electronics Engineering.

He started his presentation with the introduction on Artificial Intelligence. He stated that artificial intelligence (AI) is the emulation of human intellectual functions by machines, particularly those using computer systems. He discussed the supervised, semi-supervised, and unsupervised learning techniques used in machine learning and deep learning based on artificial neural networks (ANN). He elaborated on a comparison of various hardware for utilizing the Artificial Intelligence, which is available on the market that are used in industry. It served as a helpful manual for Engineering faculties who wanted to apply AI to their benefit. The staff members felt that the presentation was very much useful and effective. Totally 18 staffs participated.
