TEQUP Series 2, An Introduction to 5G Networks and Applications

The Staff Development Committee and RCC of the Engineering Department organised a programme on “An Introduction to 5G Networks and Applications" as an initiation of TEQUP series.  Mr Antony Judice Alexcius, Lecturer (Engineering Department), delivered the presentation from 2 to 2.25 pm on 11 February 2021. He started the presentation by stating the special features of 5G as compared to the 1G. His presentation is mainly focused on recent trends in 5G and its impact on other evolving technologies such as functional architecture of 5G networks, features and advantages of 5G technology, how fast will 5G catch on, the 5G network is built. Finally, he briefed the audience on 5G applications with some real-time examples such as 5G for Internet of Vehicles.
