"Meet with an entrepreneur"

The Entrepreneurship and Innovation Department (EID) in collaboration with the Entrepreneurial Committee of the Business Studies Department organized an interactive session titled "Meet with an entrepreneur" on Monday, 7 June 2021 from 12:30 pm to 1:20 pm. The session was delivered by Mr Mohammed Al Yaqoobi, the co-founder of Waffle and Donut Café, and was facilitated by Mr Mohammed Al-Sakiti, HRM Lecturer. The main aim of the session was to create awareness among students on the process of starting a new business. The session covered different topics, including the processes and procedures of commercial registration, preparing a feasibility study, marketing plan, opportunities and challenges of new start-ups, growth plans etc. Q & A session was conducted at the end to clarify the students' doubts and questions. More than 25 students attended the session. At the end of the session, a feedback form was distributed to the students and the average score of satisfaction is 4.5 on a scale of 5.
