How Does VAT Work?

The Staff Development Committee (SDC) of the Business Studies Department organized an online session titled "How Does VAT Work?” on Thursday, 24th February 2022 from 2.00 p.m to 2.45 p.m through MS Teams. The session staterd with a welcoming address by Dr. Mohammed Quadir Mohiuddin. Then, the presenter, Mr Bijja Srinivas delivered the session emphasizing input and output tax, the emergence of sales tax in VAT, methods of collection and the application of VAT on imports and exports. Overall, VAT insight was given to the participants in an understandable manner. At the end of the session, some participants raised their doubts to the speaker. A total of 18 faculty members attended the session.
