The First ELC Staff Meeting of Semester 2 , 2017 - 2018

Dr. Sultan Al Ghafri welcomed all the staff members. He hoped that all had an enjoyable holiday and were ready for challenges, cooperation and great efforts in running teaching and learning activities in a smooth manner. He also asked all the staff to continue with the same motivation and do their best in order to meet the ELC needs. After the speech of the HOC , the members of the Professional Development Committee, the E-learning Committee and the Academic Advising and Counselling committee and the QA Committee took over the meeting.

Mr. Joseph Vadakal, the Coordinator of the ELC, QA Committee gave a brief overview of ISA (Institutional Standard Assessment). Then, Mr. Faisal Al Shamali the head of the Committee of Professional Development gave a brief introduction on the 4th ELTPD workshop and encouraged the teachers to not only participate but also to present. Ms. Amal Ashour also briefed the teachers on how to present teaching tips in a practical way. Ms Maha Al Dari talked about the Open Door Classes which will benefit all teachers. The Academic Advising and Counselling Committee Mr. Abdullah Al-Buloshi told us how students who achieved the highest grades last semester will be awarded the following week.
