The Staff Development Committee of the Engineering department, UTAS-Ibri is organized a technical awareness program titled "Advances and Current Challenges in Implantable and Wearable Biosensors" on Thursday, 17th March 2022 at 1:30 PM in the Multipurpose Hall (B102). The program session was addressed by Mr. Aaron James, Electronics Lecturer, Department of Engineering, University of Technology and Applied Sciences-Ibri. 

In his presentation he discussed about many types of innovative implantable and wearable sensors, as well as their limitations. Also, he explained about the novel materials, types of Multiphysics software and EDA Tools that were employed in the sensor's fabrication. He finally demonstrated the design of an Implantable Piezo resistive sensor using Comsol Multi physics Software towards the end of the session. The workshop was highly participatory, and the staff members found the presentation to be really valuable and effective. A total of 36 employees attended the session.
