Research Perspectives on Non Destructive Testing (NDT) for Engineers
As a part of commitment to strengthen and support continuous learning and developing professional competency of the members, the Staff Research and Consultancy Committee of Engineering Department IbriCT organized a seminar on the topic “Research Perspectives on Non Destructive Testing (NDT) for Engineers” on 26th January 2017. The Speaker, J. Arthur Davis Nicholas explained the scope of Non Destructive Testing (NDT) in various fields of engineering.
He presented various methods and techniques used for testing. He explained the recent techniques incorporated for NDT e.g. Radiography Testing, Ultrasonic Testing, Magnetic Particle Testing and Infrared Thermography. He further elaborated the research areas of Infrared Thermography in electrical, construction, process plant and quality tools. He also focused the need of the NDT and what serious accident took place in past around the world with small negligence in testing.
By attending the program faculties learnt various features and areas of contribution in on Non Destructive Testing (NDT)
