Orientation Program for Choosing Engineering Specialization Courses

Dr. Elangovan, Mechanical and Industrial Engineering Head of Section, spoke about the different engineering specializations offered in each of the seven different Colleges of Technology of Oman. He also oriented the students about the scope of the mechanical and industrial engineering field as a profession and its job opportunities.

Dr. Ilankumaran, Electrical and Electronics Engineering Head of Section, also presented the various professions and work opportunities for graduates of Electrical and Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering.

Finally, Dr. Geetha oriented and guided the students who will apply for specialization with regard to the use of the Advisee Management System (AMS) through the college website. She answered some of the common problems that students are facing regarding the criteria for selecting certain specializations. She also spoke about the limited number of slots in some of the different specializations in certain Colleges of Technologies; thereby, stricter eligibility is being required.
