The Staff Development Committee of the Engineering Department organised a programme on Autonomous Robotics System on 12 April 2018 from 1.45pm to 2.45pm.
Dr G Kumarvel, Lecturer, Electrical and Electronics Section, Engineering Department, delivered a presentation on Autonomous Robotic System. He started his presentation with the application of robotic systems, not only in industries but also in our day to day life.
He also explained how to analyse the working area of a robotic system based on the coordinate system. He explained various available sensors and its accuracy and applications.
He described about the optimisation of moving parts in robots through various methods such as the sensory learning process, Ant Colony Optimisation (ACO) and Bats Echolocation Algorithm (BEA).
This programme was well received by the staff and highly beneficial to the participants.
