As a part of a Research and Consultancy activity, the Research and Consultancy Committee organised a seminar on
“ONLINE INTERNAL CORROSION MONITORING OF INDUSTRIAL PIPELINES BY THERMAL RESISTANCE METHOD AND ITS VALIDATION”. The date and venue of the presentation were 2 October 2018, B115, Engineering Building. The speaker was Mr J. Arthur Davis, Lecturer, Engineering Department, Ibri College of Technology.
In the presentation, internal flaws in industrial pipes, internal corrosion monitoring mechanisms, thermal resistance method, which is effective and simple, instrumentation-circuitry and hardware were discussed. The participants were staff of the Engineering Department. The seminar, followed by discussions, motivated the participating staff to carry out research work in the area of CORROSION MONITORING and related areas. The programme ended with positive feedback on the presented seminar, along with requests for similar topics, such as interdisciplinary programmes, in future.
