The Staff Development Committee of the Engineering Department organised a training programme on “Basic Programming in Robotics”
on 27 September 2018 from 10.00 to 14:00.
Mr Mina Yaqoub, LEGO certified trainer, ATLAB, from Muscat conducted the programme.
Initially a training session was given to assemble the components in LEGO mind storms education EV3 core set and TETRIX core blocks. Then a simple program was designed and executed in EV3 block. A clear demo was given on assembled robot.
Theoretical and practical difficulties in EV3 and Tetrix core blocks were discussed during the sessions. A trainer suggested some online links which eased the coding part of EV3 and Aurdino platforms to write code, ev3basic, ev3legos, ev3dev and robotic.
The programme was well received by the staff and highly beneficial to the participants.
