Engage / encourage students during E- learning

The Staff Development Committee and the Engineering Department organised a presentation “Engage / encourage students during E- learning” on 1 July 2021 from 01:30 to 02:40 PM through MS-Teams. Dr V. Ilankumarn, HoS, Electrical section delivered the presentation. 

He explained the different ways to engage/encourage students during online teaching. He introduced various online techniques such as spider web discussion, chat to check for understanding, flip class, adapting think-pair-share and show-and-tell questions. He explained project-based learning, seeing and critiquing peer work through virtual gallery, and ways to create interest among the listeners during online teaching. Finally, he gave a brainstorming online session for the participants to ensure the effectiveness of the topic discussed. The participants raised some queries, and these were cleared by the presenter.
