Program on OFT Software of Hydraulics and Pneumatics
The workshop held in four sessions on 18th, 25th January 3rd and 10th February, at Room No: B 112, Digital electronics Lab. The resource person for the program was Dr. Carlos Santos.
The objective of the program was mainly to apply the knowledge of mechanical engineering, electronics engineering & electrical engineering and their skills in solving problems and challenges in the Real world.
In the First session the speaker discussed about the following topics.
Introduction to PIC Microcontroller chip. Uses and application of Microcontroller. Function of each terminal/junction of PIC. How to setup a PIC Microcontroller chip. Application of Assembly Language program (35 instruction set RISC). ‘C’ language/program for PIC implementing Mikro C.
In the second session the speaker discussed about the following topics.
MPLAB software use for programming/program assembly. Actual construction of assembly language using MPLAB. Syntax and debugging technique. Actual interfacing of PIC Microcontroller chip using electronics design circuit. Method for compiling the program.
In the Third session the speaker discussed about the following topics.
Introduction to PIC Microcontroller burner. How to download the compiled program into the PIC Microcontroller. Actual application of assembly language program controlling LED’s and movement of DC Motor. Multiple programming technique of PIC Microcontroller.
In the Fourth session the speaker discussed about following topics
Introduction of Micro C software for programming PIC Microcontroller implementing C language. Construction of C program controlling 8 LED’s in sequential form. Debugging and syntax checking using Micro C. Actual interfacing of PIC Microcontroller chip using electronics circuit. Software and hardware operation (working condition). By attending the program faculties have learned to design simple electronic circuit, can write simple ‘C’ programming and assembly language using PIC microcontroller. The program was highly benefited to the staff members.
