On 18th April 2018, Wednesday, Ibri college of technology has participated in the big event which is Oman IoT Olympics 2018 hosted by Higher College of Technology, Muscat. The Competition has three stages Creathon day , Packathon day and Hackathon day
The Opening ceremony and creathon day was held on 18th April 2018, whereas Hackathon Day (Final day/Closing day ) will be held on 09th May 2018.
During the first day of the competition, each participating team was allowed to randomly pick one from the five different areas provided by the organizing committee in the Project-based competition. The 5 areas of the IoT Olympics 2018 competitions are the following: Area I- Internet of Things Home, Area II-Industry of Things, Area III- IoT Oman-Smart City, Area IV-(IoT Campus Smart Campus) and Area V- Internet of Everything. Total of 11 students and 3 Staff members were participated from Ibri College of technology, which includes 9 students from IT department and 3 students from engineering department.
The IT department council motivated our staff members and students to be a part of this big event. We would also like to thank the Cisco Teachers from IT department for their full cooperation, last but not the least we thank the engineering department council for their support.
The staff members who participated are Mr Junath Naseer ahamed (IT),Mr Someshwar(IT) and Mr AbdulSajid (IT).
