The Health and Safety committee of IbriCT, in association with Ibri City Polyclinic (Al Misk Medical Group), Ibri organized a women’s health care programme on 22 February 2018. Dr Rekha Gopal Rao and Dr Meera Banu were the resource persons for this programme. The health care programme was organized in two parts. In the first part, Dr Rekha Gopal Rao presented the common challenges faced by women in their health.
She emphasized a few important women’s health care issues on the reproductive system, obesity, gynecological problems, polycystic ovary syndrome, Carcinoma cervix and discussed preventive measures with treatment procedures to avoid those health problems. In the second part, Dr Meera Banu presented treatment principles of Ayurveda to eradicate the root causes of many diseases with the help of herbal-based medicines and treatment.
In continuation of the presentation, a few yoga practices were also demonstrated for the benefit of the staff. The presentation was well received by the female staff members with good interaction to clarify their doubts.
