An industrial visit to Al – BALOWRA NATIONAL TRADING was organised for diploma and advanced diploma students, by the Industrial Link Committee.
Twenty-one students and two faculties from the Mechanical and Industrial Engineering Section visited on 22 March 2018 from 12:30pm to 2:30pm.
Al-Balowra National TRD presently has several factories, such as blocks, industrial stone and associated allied building products and the chemical products including paints, perfume and all types of soap in all over Oman.
We visited “Al – BALOWRA NATIONAL TRD” Ready Mix concrete plant in Ibri, and in this factory the different grades of concrete are manufactured and supplied.
Mr Ahmed Al-Kalbani, Regional Director, welcomed the staff and students, introduced himself and gave a brief introduction about the company activities. He then explained the operation of the plant in different sections and explained each operation on the site. He then invited students to have an opportunity to do OJT in the company.
During the session, the students interacted with the engineers very effectively. All the students expressed thanks to the officials for the opportunity. The Industrial visit was highly useful for the students.
