Training Program on Designing a Network Using Cisco Packet Tracer

The Information Technology Course Project Committee conducted training programme 5 on designing a network using Cisco packet tracer for all students, especially for diploma course project (networking students) by Ms Nadia, IT Lecturer. The programme focused on the following key notes:

• Definition of Cisco Packet Tracer
• Key features of CPT
• Uses of CPT software
• Basics of CPT software
• Steps followed for designing any network using CPT

The presenter showed a sample network to the students, assigning IP addresses for all the network devices and end user devices separately. Addition to that, the basic configuration for network devices was discussed. The required reference materials were shared among the students. At the end of the session there was a questions and answers session with the students. All students made an active participation.
