Technical Teaching and Learning Techniques

The IT Society Committee of the Information Technology Department organised a training programme for the community on 31 March 2022. Ms Saba and Ms Wardah conducted a training programme on “Technical Teaching and Learning Techniques”

At the beginning of the session, Ms Saba explained the goal and objectives of the training programme. Then, Ms Wardah explained her experience on using the “Quizizz tool” in her classes and she listed the advantages of using daily quizzes for the students and the teacher as well. 

After that, she conducted one online practice quiz to show the participants that how it works. She explained how they can access the Quizizz tool using the browser and how to create an account. She explained the explore icon in the tool and showed the participants how they can search a specific topic in any subject and select the quiz. She showed them all the features in the tool such as how to preview the quiz, assign it as a homework for students, how to use it as alive quiz in the class, and how students can practice it themselves.

As a second part of the session, Ms Saba explained how to create a lesson, PPT, and online quizzes for students. She explained step by step how to select questions from the Quizizz tool library and how to create their own quiz using the available free features. She explained how to create a class and send the report to the parents.

At the end of the session, time was given to the attendees to ask questions.

The feedback was collected from the participants on a scale of 5, the result of the feedback was 4.89.
