How to Write an Effective Research Paper from a mathematics point of view

The Research Committee of the Information Technology Department conducted a seminar on 30 October 2018 on how to write an effective research paper from a mathematics point of view for staff, in Lab A109.
The objective of the seminar was to provide an awareness on writing a mathematics research paper and to recognise the major components for the paper.
Dr Shanmugapriya discussed how to transform the solution into proper theorem in a generalised manner. She mentioned the literature review. In her session, she highlighted the methods for proofing. She stressed the importance of including the definition of the terminologies in the research paper as well as to include the meaning for all abbreviations.
Dr Shanmugapriya mentioned the features for the title of the research paper. She highlighted the importance of citation and referencing to be included in any research paper.
In the end, feedback was collected from members attending the seminar. The majority showed their satisfaction with the arrangements. On the scale of 5, the average feedback was 3.41.
