BSD Conducts Student Induction - Semester 1- A.Y.2017-18

IQAC of the Business Studies Department organized the Student Induction Programme, for the students joined in Diploma in May 2017 and September 2017 of AY 2016-17 and 2017-18 in Lecture Theatre at 11 a.m on Tuesday 26, September,2017. Dr. Surendar, IQAC coordinator of the department conducted the session. The session was organised in coordination with the registration committee of BSD.
Dr. Surendar commenced the session by briefing the Vision and Mission of the college. The speaker highlighted the organisation structure, different courses offered in BSD, their credit hours, different policies which are available on college website, the student assessment method, probation status, dismissal cases and other details. He explained the role of advisors and how it helps the students in pursuing their studies especially while choosing specialization and choosing right combination of courses to optimise their learning. Dr. Surendar further advised the students to get in touch with their respective advisors constantly for further details. He had also given the details of student clubs in business department and motivated the students to participate in those activities for their overall personality development. The speaker concluded his presentation by creating awareness about the facilities available in the college for an effective teaching-learning process.
The programme was organised with the help of Mr. Jay Kumar, The department Registrar and the members of IQAC, Dr. Ansarul Haq and Ms. Laly Antoney. Around 100 attended and received benefits of the session. The session concluded at 11.55 a.m.
