The OJT committee of Business Department, IBRI college of technology has conducted a Guest lecture on “Addressing Learning Gaps through OJT” as part of its Induction Program on 8th Oct 2017 in lecture theatre from 10 AM to 12 Noon. Mr. Ismail Saif Salem Al Shmali, Director Oman Chamber of Commerce, Al-Dahira region was the chief guest of the programme. Mr. Younus Al Zaabi (Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs), Dr. Mohammed Abed (Head of Business Department), Mr. Zaid Al Badi (College level OJT coordinator) and Lecturers of Business Studies Department along with their class students were present at the event.
The session started with the introductory presentation of OJT objectives and goals of IBRICT by Mr. Bijja Vishwanath, OJT coordinator, Business Studies Department and formally introduced the guest speaker Mr. Ismail Saif Salem Al Shmali to share his views with the students. He had a well informative and interactive session with the students over the topic. The students participated enthusiastically and asked several questions about industry and business related issues. The guest speaker encouraged student participation with gifts to their outstanding questions during the session. OJT committee members coordinated with the students in sharing their views during the event.
Later Mr. Younus Al Zaabi, Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs felicitated the guest speaker and addressed the students over the commitment of the college in organizing various academic related events and encouraged them to actively participate in such events hereafter.
