Technical Center Saif Bin Sultan School Visit

The Information Technology Department, through its Public Relations and Marketing Committee attended the opening ceremony for the Technical Center at Saif Bin Sultan School for Grades 11 and 12 – male students in 12th October 2022. The IT team was composed by Mr Abdullah Al-Shukeili – IT Lecturer along with 3 promising and active IT students namely Amjad Al Kalbani, Anwar AL Shmali, Nizar Al Shukaili. The visit was made in order for the students to practically witness the recent technologies being used in the Internet of Things (IoT), Virtual Realties (VR) devices and 3D printing. This way, the students can make use of these devices to build smart projects. Furthermore, the visit was an avenue at building and establishing relationship between the school’s technical center and the University. The Technical Center was sponsored by the private-sector oil and gas companies. The center includes Virtual Reality headsets, arduino boxes, and a 3D printer.
