Competition on the Actual Implementation of Computer Network with Troubleshooting

The Information Technology Department held a competition on the Actual Implementation of Computer Networks with Troubleshooting in 8th December, 2022, through its IT Society. Both IT lecturers namely, Mr. Isabelo and Ms. Nadia were in charge of the event. The competition was open to all students who have background in networking. Fifteen (15) students have registered for the event. The objective of the event was to inspire students to demonstrate their networking abilities. The competition tasks involved showcasing peer-to-peer networking, proper wiring, network configuration, network file and printer sharing, and folder security.

The ETC staff Mr. Yaseer Al Yahyai and Ms. Hajer Al Shekaili were invited as assessors during the said competition. After the event, a feedback form was given to all participants and as a result, a score of 4.82 was given to the organizers on a rating scale of 1-5 where 5 is the highest. This implies that the participants were satisfied and happy about the way the event was conducted.

Dr Amal Al-Abri, HoD-IT presented the certificates and prizes all winners, where Aryam Al Sidairi, Ahlam Al Hatmi, and Anwaar Al Mamari were proclaimed winners during the competition.
