The Ibri College of Technology Engineering Department conducted its regular On-the-Job Training (OJT) Orientation Program on 24 January 2018, 11:00, at the Multi-Purpose Hall, Engineering Building. The program is for Engineering Students who are undergoing OJT in various companies in Oman for Semester 2, AY 2017-2018.

The OJT is an important requirement for Engineering Students to earn their Diploma wherein they are dispatched to companies related to their specializations (Electrical Power, Electronics, and Mechanical Engineering) in order for them to gain valuable actual, hands-on, practical experience that will enhance their confidence, knowledge, and skills.

On the job training is an important activity in the academic life of every student pursuing, his/her post foundation studies at IbriCT.

Its orientation programme was conducted for the Business Studies, Information Technology and Engineering students on 21 November 2017, from 09.00am to 11.00am in the lecture theatre in the Engineering building.

The OJT committee of Business Department, IBRI college of technology has conducted a Guest lecture on “Addressing Learning Gaps through OJT” as part of its Induction Program on 8th Oct 2017 in lecture theatre from 10 AM to 12 Noon. Mr. Ismail Saif Salem Al Shmali, Director Oman Chamber of Commerce, Al-Dahira region was the chief guest of the programme. Mr. Younus Al Zaabi (Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs), Dr. Mohammed Abed (Head of Business Department), Mr. Zaid Al Badi (College level OJT coordinator) and Lecturers of Business Studies Department along with their class students were present at the event.

The Engineering Department of Ibri College of Technology conducted their On-the-Job Training (OJT) Orientation Program for their students on September 20, 2017, at 12:00 noon, in the Multi-Purpose Hall, in the Engineering Building.

Engineering Students who have complied with all of their academic requirements under the various specializations: Electrical Power, Electronics & Telecommunication, and Mechanical and Industrial Engineering, and those who have only one or two courses left in Diploma level, and who have no immediate plans to proceed to Advance Diploma are eligible to undergo OJT.

In order to prepare IbriCT students for the job market and as future professionals, the students are sent to undergo On-the-Job (OJT) Training in the various companies all over Oman before graduation procedures will be initiated.
