Student Research Committee, Department of Business Studies conducted a project orientation programme for the students of Advance and Bachelor in Human Resource Management and Accounting specialization at on 20th. September 2017 at 9:30 am in VIP Room of Ibri College of Technology.
The programme started with the welcome speech of Dr. Mohammed Abed Ali, Head of Department of Business Studies. He gave an overview on how senior/graduation project would be important in the students’ career and help them in fetching the jobs.
The session was taken up in detail by the Department’s Project Coordinator (HRM), Dr. Ansarul Haque. He made the students aware about the concept of student’s project and the logic behind selecting the topics for their projects. In addition, he also explained the role of project supervisors and how the students can coordinate with their supervisors in order to get appropriate guidance and complete their projects in stipulated time.
The speaker also explained the steps for completing project, its structure and project template etc. Students were well oriented regarding project evaluation criteria, highlighting the importance of teamwork and individual assessment.
The speaker discussed the College Management’s emphasis for funding of good projects by The Research Council (TRC). Further, he explained the criteria of funding projects in detail. The session was quite interactive and fruitful for students who would pursue their projects and strive for being funded from TRC or other funding agencies in the Sultanate.
