As mandated at the start of every semester, the Electrical Power (EE) and Electronics & Telecommunications (ECE) Engineering Section held their Project Orientation Program on May 3, 2017 (Wednesday), 11:00 am -12:00 nn, at the Thermodynamics Laboratory (B011) in the Engineering Building.

There were 31 students present in the program with Dr. V. Ilankumaran, HOS for Electrical and Electronics Section of the Engineering, as speaker/presenter, giving guidelines and advising them on how to go about an efficient Project Making Process. He emphasized the importance of choosing an excellent project, choosing appropriately which Supervisor to work with, and how each student must exhibit greater diligence throughout the entire semester up to the completion of all the Project requirements.

For the first time, IbriCT Asst. Dean for Academic Affairs, Mr. Younus Al Zaabi, and QAU Head, Mr. Guru Prasad, were present to observe and even take part in the program.

After Dr. V. Ilankumaran finished his presentation, Asst. Dean Younus was asked to encourage and inspire the students regarding project work. He spoke about IbriCT’s desire that the students to come up with better and more remarkable projects that are worthy to be shown off in future exhibits; and on how impressive it is to future employers if students from IbriCT applying for jobs in their companies, can boast of excellent projects during their college years. He concluded his talk by wishing the students all the best.
