BSD Spearheads Alumni Interaction Program

The Business Studies Department through its Alumni Committee organized an alumni interaction program entitled “Challenges on Job” on May 16, 2017, 12:00 noon at Room no. 2040 in Ibri College of Technology.

The program started with a welcome note by Dr. Syeda Zubaida Hashmi in which she highlighted the need for alumni interaction, the benefits of sharing alumni experiences with current students and how college and alumni should be connected to have mutual benefits.

The key guest speakers of the event, Mr. Mahmood Al Mani, Masawlath manager and Mr. Muqtar Al Maqarshi, police officer from Royal Oman Police in Muscat have shared their knowledge in job searching, experiences in the job, challenges on the job, and the need in the job to be updated with advanced information and latest technology. They also advised the students to gain knowledge in their specialization courses with zeal and fervor.

The students during their study period must be exposed to mock interviews and get themselves prepared to attend job interviews based on their interested career. They stressed the importance of interpersonal skills and technical mastery in the field of accounting to have a successful career.

The participants of the said event actively participated in the discussion session by clarifying their concerns regarding the program.
