IT Project Orientation Programme

The IT Department of Ibri College of Technology conducted a Course, Project Orientation Programme, on 21 November 2017 at 10am in the VIP Hall. The main purpose of this program is to motivate and create awareness about course project work among the students across different levels who will be doing their course project in the forthcoming semester.

Mr S. Ahamed Nishath, Project Committee Coordinator, IT Department, presented and clearly explained the role of students for doing course projects, Course Project work flow, as well as the necessary documents to prepare and submit for the course project. He also explained about all the reviews that will be conducted to access the course project. He also mentioned the importance of weekly meetings with supervisors and maintaining log sheets. He motivated the students to look for projects across different fields based on their area of interest to get involved and complete the project. He briefly talked about TRC and FURUP projects and motivated the students to submit good proposals.

In this regard, at the end of the session, he invited two students, Ms. Lamya Hamed Al Badi and Ms.Kahlood Nasser Nassri, who are presently doing TRC projects, to share their experience regarding TRC proposals submitted and further work on their TRC project. Among the best project students, Ms.Khuzaina Said Ali Al Alawi also shared her pleasant experience of working on projects and suggested to look for projects at various different fields.

Ms Fatma Al Mandhari, Mr Saravanan, and Dr. G. Shamugarathinam also attended the session to show support to the students. The orientation was conducted by the Project Committee with the support of Ms Fatma Al Mandhari, from the Student Services Committee. A total of 64 students participated and were from the Diploma Level, Advance Diploma Level, and Bachelor Level, and feedback was taken at the end of the session. The average feedback score was 3.97. on a scale of 5.
